Hello, I'm Michelle,

The florist behind House of Hydrangeas, a Newcastle-based studio where flowers are never an afterthought.

Every arrangement begins with the season. I source the freshest blooms available, let the colours and textures speak to each other, and design something that feels considered rather than assembled. No two arrangements are ever quite the same, because no two seasons are.

For weddings and events, I work closely with you to create florals that hold the feeling of the day. From ceremony to table, from first glance to last photograph.

For those who believe fresh flowers deserve a permanent place in their home or workspace, our subscriptions bring seasonal arrangements to your door on your terms. Choose your size and frequency, and leave the rest to us.

Each year, six to eight weeks before Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, we release our seasonal catalogue. Handpicked florals, thoughtfully curated arrangements and a limited window to order, because the most beautiful things are always worth anticipating.

  • We specialise in floral subscriptions and seasonal event orders. For one-off arrangements outside of Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, send us a message, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please be mindful that a $15 delivery fee will apply to these orders unless the order is over $150.

  • We deliver throughout Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley.

  • Choose your arrangement size (Petite, Signature or Luxury) and your preferred frequency: weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly. We handle the rest. A minimum three-month commitment applies.

  • Each year, six to eight weeks before Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, we open our seasonal storefront. Browse and pre-order from a curated collection of arrangements, available for delivery or pickup. Cut-off dates for both will be displayed on the storefront at the time of ordering. Follow us on Instagram or join our newsletter to be the first to know when the collection goes live.

  • Each arrangement is designed seasonally using the freshest blooms available. If you have something specific in mind, we would love to hear from you. Head to our enquiry form, share your vision and upload a photo for reference if you have one. Please keep in mind that availability varies with the season and not all flowers can be guaranteed, but we will always do our best to accommodate your request.

  • Delivery is free on orders over $150. A flat $15 delivery fee applies to orders under that amount.
